What does community mean? It used to mean the small neighborhood you lived in, but with technology, internet communication, and fast airline travel your community has expanded over the last 50 years to a global level. Economies world-wide have become interdependent upon one another for products, food, and fuel. The global nations now need each other in order to thrive. More than any time in the past, people from many diverse nations can be found living in the same nation, state, or even small neighborhood. It is time to not only redefine what a global community looks like, but to understand how to embrace it and move it forward with harmony. Each of us will play a role, wether beneficial or detrimental. Learn how to make your contribution a beneficial one. In this course, you will hone your understanding of community as we explore outreach methodology to help stitch the colorful fabrics of the world together. We will examine local grassroots outreach plans as well as grand expansive global outreach plans. You will become community aligned and oriented. You will only be limited by your imagination in this course as you learn to create your plan.
